Company

OTview, with headquarters in Maryland, is a software company that develops and markets a full-featured print management software product, called OTPrint. "OT" stands for OnTrack. The company's mission is to empower our printing customers with a unique competitive edge that is fostered by an "OnTrack View" of every print job as it runs through the plant. In the late 1990's, a commercial printing industry leader, Walt Marchant, gave birth to this vision. After years of running various print shops, he found himself being solicited by leading printers to evaluate their operations and implement process improvements to enhance profitability. With the world's strongest technology revolution occurring, he initially sought to leverage off-the-shelf software packages that advertised endless efficiency gains. Very quickly, he learned from the market that available systems were cumbersome, too costly for small to medium size printers, and were very expensive to maintain.

This frustration provided the impetus for his creation of a new software package, OTPrint. From the "get-go" OTPrint was developed inside of a printing operation. Every employee, whether it was the owner, the estimator, or the press operator, was continuously solicited for suggestions on how to make the software "easy to use and intelligent". Word spread quickly, and during the early 2000's purchases of OTPrint expanded beyond Maryland throughout the Eastern and Midwestern United States. In late 2003, OTview acquired strategic investment capital to expand operations throughout the nation.
